Fitness by JEM is a welcoming place for individuals of all fitness levels. Our goal is to infuse fun into your fitness journey, while helping you become more functional. Through our personalized training sessions and invigorating group fitness classes, we aim to assist you in achieving your fitness goals whatever they may be. Whether it's just getting started, running a 5K or recovering from an injury or surgery, we're here for you. Additionally, in the future, we will be introducing Health and Wellness and Menopause Coaching sessions to further support your fitness journey. Whether in-person or virtual, we provide flexible options to accommodate your preferences.

Joann Markham
Hi, I’m Joann , a dedicated Personal Trainer certified through ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine). Since beginning my training career in 2007, I have had the privilege of working with individuals of varying fitness levels, both in person and virtually. I have extensive experience working with individuals recovering from injury or surgery, cancer survivors and individuals with Parkinson's Disease. Additionally, I have successfully conducted a multitude of group fitness classes, including HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), Cardio Kickboxing, Flexibility, and Tai Chi in person and virtually.
My ultimate goal is to infuse a sense of enjoyment into every workout session, creating an experience that my clients eagerly anticipate rather than dread. I firmly believe that fitness should be fun and rewarding. Drawing upon my extensive knowledge gained from nearly two decades in the fitness industry, I am confident in my ability to guide and support you in achieving your fitness goals.
